How do I secure my booking with High Church – what is required?
To confirm your booking a 50% deposit is required. Final 50% is then due 21 days prior to your event.
Can I design the event space myself?
Sometimes you have a truly unique event, requiring the perfect space and you need to build it yourself from scratch. In these instances venue food and beverage packages can interrupt these plans.
As such we have “Dry Hire” Options, you can book and hire the space exclusively for you to use as you need for one flat fee that includes your use of the space and the furniture. If you require food and beverages these will still need to be quoted and provided exclusively through High Church and Pure Catering, however they can be customised to suit your event more comfortably. Can I supply my own catering?
High Church is managed by Pure Catering. They will ensure a smoothly run, on time event.

What is the capacity of High Church?
We recommend no more than 250 guests for a cocktail event and no more than 120 for a sit down event, however with the sit down events over 100 guests we do recommend removing 3 banquet tables after dinner to create your dance floor, talk to our catering team &/or stylist in assisting you with this on the night.
Will there be another event on the night?
The venue space you have booked is yours exclusively for the time slot you have booked
NOTE: there may be an event booked before or after your time slot. If this is the case please be respectful of when you enter & exit the venue to not cause disruption to other bookings on the day – just as they will be respectful of your times.
There is ample street parking around High Church, which is completely free on weekends and after 5pm. We also have the convenience of a car park only two blocks away from the High Church.

Closing Times of the Venue?
Friday & Saturday: 11PM Monday to Thursday: 10PM Sunday: 10PM
High Church can organise express entry into other venues around Fortitude Valley for the guests who want to continue on. We can also order taxis for the guests who want to go home.
Can we play music?
Yes but ALL entertainment must be booked & authorised by our venue manager or preferred entertainment suppliers – we need to be strict here because we have residential buildings close by. There is also a sound limit and we expect your selected entertainers to respect this. The volume is more than enough to have a great party while keeping the peace at High Church. There is NO amplified music allowed on the terrace only acoustic style music.
Do I need security?
Some large events may require professional security. Our events co-ordinator will assess each case; if security is required, then it would be at your own expense. If you want security for your own reasons we have a recommended security company on our preferred suppliers list that we highly recommend. NOTE: If urgent security is required during your event our management will contact our security company for an urgent call out – if this is required they charge a minimum 2 hour call out fee of $80.00 plus GST that would be automatically charged to the clients account if deemed necessary by venue manger on the night of your event.
Can we access the venue to set up?
We can only guarantee access from the booked times. If you have stage, media or elaborate decorations please take into account the installation and removal of these. Extra time may need to be booked either side of your function and is charged at an hourly rate of $50.
